POLICE are searching for a cyclist who witnessed an argument which led to a man allegedly driving a car’s wheel over a woman’s foot.
A man and 59-year-old woman were seen arguing on Crossley Road, Thatto Heath.
Police say that during the altercation the man got into a car and drove away but the woman suffered a foot injury caused by the tyre.

She was discharged from hospital later that evening.
Detectives are treating the incident as assault and have arrested and bailed a 22-year-old local man.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who saw the incident, which happened at about 5pm on Friday, January 4.
They particularly want to trace a cyclist who stopped at the scene, but left before police arrived.
