CO-OPERATIVE members in St Helens have helped fund three groups to continue their community work within the area.
Sutton Smile, The Hope Centre and St Mark’s Church all received more than £1,350 to continue to fund various projects within the St Helens community.
Sutton Smile will use their donated money to run annual community events, while The Hope Centre’s funds will cover volunteers’ expenses at the homeless shelter.
St Mark’s Church, Haydock are planning to use the Co-operative funds to finance the creation of a dog walking area in church grounds.
The groups received the money from the Co-operative’s Community Fund, a scheme which allows members of the Co-operative to donate all or part of their annual dividend to good causes in the area.
