Four teenagers arrested in Rainford after car key burglary

FOUR teenagers were arrested in connection with a car keys burglary after a vehicle was pulled over by police, it has emerged.

Officers patrolling the East Lancashire Road near to Rainford stopped a car after witnessing the driver and passenger acting suspiciously.

Three of the four people who were in the car sprinted away from the scene last Thursday night.

However, a series of arrests were made later.

Chief Superintendent Paul Richardson, said: "Four males, aged 17, 18, 18 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of burglary and unauthorised taking of a motor vehicle.

“All four were questioned by detectives and bailed pending further enquiries.”
