Sefton pub undergoes £200,000 refurbishment

ONE of St Helens town centre’s best-known pubs is due to open its doors again this week after a £200,000 refurbishment project.

The Sefton Arms on Baldwin Street will reopen on February 7 with a new look designed to cater for the town’s drinkers and diners from eight until late.

Once refurbishment is completed, the pub will boast a new dance floor, sound and LED lighting systems, big screens – including a five-metre plasma – and a refitted function room for private celebrations.

General manager Matty Williams said: “We can’t wait to reopen. Although much is changing, we will continue to welcome customers new and old.”

The refurbishment of the Sefton Arms is creating four new jobs.
