MARTIN Swindley, head chef at Haydock Park Racecourse, is laying down a challenge to Star readers.
He wants you to send in the recipe for your favourite dish, and along with John Lee, Harry’s Bistro head chef, they will decide on their favourite dish.
This dish will then appear on the Harry’s Bistro menu at the race meeting on Saturday, April 27.
The dish may be a starter, main or dessert course, but the chef’s words of wisdom are to keep it simple, fresh and seasonal.
The winning ‘budding’ chef will be invited to the restaurant on the morning of the race day to see the dish being prepared, and then enjoy a complimentary table for four in Harry’s Bistro, with two bottles of complimentary wine to enjoy your meal with.
Entries must be in by Friday, April 19, and be sent to martin.swindley@compass-group.co.uk or posted to Martin Swindley, head chef, Haydock Park Racecourse, Newton-le-willows, Merseyside, WA12 0HQ.
