Man broke muzzling order
4:30pm Thursday 31st January 2013 in News
AN elderly dog owner has pleaded guilty to breaching a court order which stated that his pet must be kept muzzled when in public.
Stanley Winstanley’s cross-breed dog was placed on a control order after it attacked a man near Queens Park in 2011.
However, in July last year a dog officer from St Helens Council was carrying out a routine patrol on Exeter Street when he saw Winstanley walking his unmuzzled dog on a lead.
Winstanley, who is aged in his late 70s ,and lives in Hewitt Avenue, was fined £50 and ordered to pay £200 in costs.
