A BUSINESS, which was opened by former deputy Prime Minister John Prescott to much optimism and excitement, is to close early next month.
With room for 70 businesses, Mega Mart rented out space to small traders and is based on Dentons Green Lane at the former Glynn Webb site.
Dean Owen, who owns Heavy Metal Thunder, is one of the last traders to have remained. He said: “It is closing on February 9. Efforts have been made to try and keep it going, but it is no longer financially viable.”
