Get in running to win luxury prize

Flashback to last year's run Flashback to last year's run

WITH less than two months to go, it’s time to get your skates on and sign up for the St Helens 10k this month... and you could be in the running to win a luxury break for six people.

The big event will be on Sunday, March 10, and Hattons Solicitors Gold Membership is running a series of exclusive competitions, each month offering a different prize to one lucky winner.

The GPW Recruitment St Helens 10k Run is an opportunity to raise much needed cash for six local charities, the Steve Prescott Foundation, the Saints Community Development Foundation, Tunzas Pride, Honey Rose Foundation, Willowbrook Hospice and ABF The Soldiers Charity.

The 2012 event raised more than £60,000 for the official charities, firmly establishing itself in the St Helens calendar.

Runners this year will again start and finish at Langtree Park, the home of St Helens RLFC, and will receive lots of offers and free gifts from the race’s sponsors.

In December, Mike Appleton Derrick, from St Helens, signed up to the 10k and won a family canvas print by Timpsons, a £100 gift voucher for OD’s Menswear, a £100 gift voucher for Tyrers and A Land Rover Discovery Experience Day for three people courtesy of Conwy Land Rover.

This month you can win a luxury break and gym membership simply by registering for the run.

The two-night stay is for six people at Holmfirth Barn in West Yorkshire courtesy of Adrian Cunliffe.

The barn is a luxury detached building built more than 150 years ago. It has gas central heating with flat screen TV, DVD, hi-fi, well-equipped kitchen with every mod con, luxury bathroom with a double ended bathtub and a luxury en suite to the master bedroom.

Booking is subject to availability and excludes July and August 2013, as well as December 21, 2013 to January 3, 2014.

January’s sign-up prize also includes three months membership at DW Sports Fitness in St Helens.

The winner will be chosen on February 1 when a new prize for February sign-ups will then be announced.

All runners will also receive the added benefit of free membership to Hattons Gold, which provides its members with discounts for retail outlets, legal services, sports clubs and restaurants. Full details can be found when registering.
