Warrant issued for man accused of being disorderly in St Helens NHS Walk-in centre

A WARRANT was issued for the arrest of a man who failed to appear in court after he was drunk and disorderly in the St Helens NHS Walk-in centre.

Stephen Welding, 40, of Cherry Tree Drive, Parr admitted the charge at an earlier hearing.

He was also accused of carrying a blue bottle opener as an offensive weapon at the centre, but denied the charge.

Welding should have been in court on January 7 to face that charge, however he failed to appear, meaning the charge was proved in his absence.

The court subsequently issued the arrest warrant.
