Fire crew gallops to rescue

FIREFIGHTERS had to use airbags to give a 29-year-old horse a helping hand.
They were called to a farm on Gillars Lane, Eccleston just before 10.30pm on Tuesday (Jan 8) to find the horse called Dal lying down in a barn.
Watch Manager Mick Carter from Whiston Community Fire Station said: “We used air bags to move her and this gave her a bit of a push and she got up on her own.”
