Steve Prescott seeks recruits for St Helens 10K

IT was the event that raked in the Steve Prescott Foundation’s biggest total last year.

Now organisers are hoping the GPW Recruitment St Helens 10K will prove even more successful in 2013.

Last year’s run drew 1,200 entrants, raising £38,000 for the SPF alone, which was the biggest ‘one event’ contribution to the charity in 2012.

In all, £60,000 was raised for good causes that the 10K supports.

So far 350 runners have registered for this year’s race, which starts and finishes at Langtree Park on Sunday, March 10.

Steve has targeted 1,800 competitors for this year.

Athletes and fun runners who do not have access to register online for the run will be able to sign up at Tesco Extra Store, St Helens this Saturday, January 12, between 10.30am and 1pm.

Anyone who enters by Friday, February 1 will be in with a chance of winning a luxury two night break for six people @HolmfirthBarn, courtesy of Adrian Cunliffe, and a three-month membership of DW Sports Fitness, St Helens.

Online registration is at www.sthelens10k.co.uk
