GOT a question for the council?

Star readers will again have the opportunity to ask a question at the next meeting of St Helens Council which takes place at 6.15 pm on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 in the Council Chamber at the Town Hall.

Time will be set aside at the beginning of the meeting for public question time and the hearing of deputations from the public.

Please include your full name, address and contact telephone number. At any one meeting no person may submit or put more than one question.

The deadline for the submission of written details is Monday, January 7 at noon.

The next meeting of the Council at which questions may be asked is due to be held on March 6, 2013

Ask yourself this simple questions, "Why does a question have to be submitted two whole months before a meeting?"
There is no logical answer and if the question is topical it will surely be irrelevant by the time you get to ask it.
A total waste of time.

Totally agree mike, do you think it because they want to ask their band of merry men (council staff) to run round for 2 months finding answers or creating some spin?!?! i mean why would any members of the elected actually want to stand up and answer questions and have to answer straight away!?!?
