PAUL Sculthorpe has been recognised for his rugby league career and charity work with an MBE in the New Year Honours list.
The former Saints skipper enjoyed a glittering career in the sport, twice winning the Man of Steel award.
Earlier this year the 35-year-old partnered cancer battler Steve Prescott on an epic Paris to London endurance challenge.
After the news was released this morning, Sculthorpe wrote on Twitter: "Big thanks to everyone for their congrats on the MBE...can tell u everything during my career and after has been a pleasure! #RL & #Charity"
