A SET of students with the gift of the gab, gave a superb display of verbal dexterity at a public speaking competition.
Held at Eccleston Park Golf Club, it was organised by the St Helens branch of the Catenian Society, an international social organisation for Catholic men.
It saw students at Carmel College wow the judges with their thought-provoking presentations, delivered with confidence and wit.
All spoke for four minutes on a subject, chosen from a list of ten options. The winner was Lauren Brown.
