SAINTS ace Jonny Lomax will be backed up by a youthful new team tomorrow when he flicks the switch on the Christmas tree in his home village.
Jonny will be performing the ceremony alongside a choir of carol-singing youngsters from three Billinge primary schools.
The lighting-up ceremony takes place at 6pm at the Parish Hall on Main Street.
Everyone is invited to the switch-on, with hot drinks and mince pies being provided by Billinge Buddies.
Many of the pupils from the three schools entered the Christmas art poster competition, which is sponsored by Billinge Parish Council, which provided prizes for the winners from each school.
The Chapel End winner was Lauran Morton, the St Aidan’s winner was Dannielle Leyland, and Genevieve Lawson was the St Mary’s winner.
