Merseyside Police is appealing for the public’s help to trace a 36-year-old man who is wanted in connection to as serious assault in Liverpool city centre in March.

Officers want to speak with John Raymond Bennett in connection with an assault outside Lloyds No.1 bar on Fleet Street in the early hours of Friday, March 16 that resulted in a 29-year-old man sustaining fractures to his jaw.

Officers believe Bennett, from Kirkby, may have information about the incident that could assist their investigation into the matter.

Bennett is described as being 5ft 11 ins tall of a heavy build with shaven black hair and brown eyes and is known to frequent the Liverpool and Knowsley areas.

Officers are appealing to Bennett or anyone who may know of his whereabouts to call Merseyside Police on 0151 777 4070 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
