YOU’VE just over a week left to spot the cheeky elf who’s been hiding out around town... and there’s a £1,500 bundle of festive goodies waiting for the eagle-eyed winners.

Tinsel, a cardboard cut-out sprite, has gone undercover this Christmas, and you have until December 17 to identify her location to be in with a chance to win a share of the amazing prizes donated by town centre retailers.

Tinsel’s been making herself at home in businesses like Boots, Pandora and Renaissance before heading back to the North Pole.

Once you have spotted Tinsel, fill in the form from the participating stores and post it to participating town centre retail stores or to St Helens Council, Events Team, Town Hall, Victoria Square, St Helens.

There’s also still plenty of time to get that late-night Christmas shopping done.

Longer opening hours make it easier to browse for longer, and perhaps pick up a few goodies for yourself along the way. There are a number of shopping offers available, so there’s always the chance of picking up a bargain.

Late-night shopping takes place every Thursday and every night during the week from Monday, December 17 to Friday, December 21. Sunday trading (10am to 4pm) is also now in operation in the run-up to Christmas.

All town centre car parks except the Millennium Centre car park will be free on the Saturdays before Christmas.

In addition all car parks will be open late during the run-up to Christmas.

Closure times may vary throughout the Christmas shopping period. Please check signs on car parks for details of closing times.

The Christmas offers adds to the council’s ‘free after three’ scheme, which allows motorists who arrive after 3pm on Birchley Street, Chalon Way and St Mary’s car parks to use the car parks free of charge.
