Dickensian-style festivities

SMITHY Heritage Centre is celebrating Christmas with a Charles Dickens-themed exhibition.

The festive event takes place this weekend and over the weekend of December 15 and 16, and runs between 1pm and 4pm.

The Christmas exhibition is free, and children’s craft activities will be running, where youngsters can make Victorian-style toys to take home.

Refreshments will be served at the venue, on Kiln Lane, Eccleston, on Sunday.
