OVER the last few weeks students at Haydock High School have collected toys, gifts and other items to put into shoeboxes as part of the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child.
Operation Christmas Child is the world's largest children's Christmas project, run by the Christian charity Samaritan’s Purse. Gift-filled shoeboxes have been sent to more than 94 million underprivileged children around the world since 1990.
Haydock High School have supported this project for a number of years, and this year they were able to send over 50 shoeboxes full of gifts to disadvantaged children in Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
