A NOTORIOUS offender with a lengthy criminal record has been jailed for three months.
Kiel Simpson, 29, of Knowles House Avenue, Gillars Green, admitted stealing a television and DVD from Asda supermarket on October 23.
He committed the offence while subject to a conditional discharge set down after he stole hair straighteners in Boots a month earlier.
Simpson was the owner of a pit bull that killed his five-year-old niece Ellie Lawrenson in 2007.

its time we adopted the USA'S 3 strikes and out for these types of people,i was surprised to find that the total prison population of England would not fill Wembley Stadium,we need more prisons and harher punishments for the numerous scumbags knocking around our neighbourhoods

I wonder how it would affect the nation's coffers if we stopped paying for benefits, social housing and prisons for these people and shipped them off somewhere hot and dry.
I'm all for giving people a fair chance and wouldn't write someone off for one terrible mistake but this cretin has proved time and again that society would be a better off without him.

Fair enough, you are not a friend, point taken.....As for people being too quick to judge, well maybe in some cases, but when its someone notorious, and he is,then we dont need to be too good..Theirs too many goodie goodies on this planetr, who will give these types chances, over, over, and over again, but THEY STILL DONT CHANGE, Lock them up, throw away the keys, and most of us can sleep better or not have the need to look over our shoulders, or go out..3 months is ruddy pathetic..

It's a shame that we have to pay through the nose to keep these oxygen thieves going.

I think we should bring back the death penalty for anything above speeding.
It's not like we're short on people is it?
Imagine how we could free up and better use resources with the likes of these sub-humans being eradicated.
