Big hit: The Call of Duty series is very popular with gamers.
LENGTHY queues formed outside a newly opened video game store to mark the sale of major release.
Grainger Games opened on Monday in La Grange Arcade to hand Church Square Shopping Centre a pre-Christmas boost.
By midnight gamers were lining up to buy the eagerly awaited Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
The north east-based chain has created six new jobs and that figure is expected to grow in the coming weeks.
Lee Hulse, the store manager, said: “We did the fit out over the weekend and opened on Monday. At midnight on Tuesday night the queue was out of the door.
“We have some great offers on, so the customers have been flooding in.
“The company is growing and with St Helens being a popular town it was just a matter of getting the timing right to locate here.”
