Club to host fireworks display
11:00am Tuesday 30th October 2012 in News
GET ready for sky-high fun on Saturday, November 3, when the seventh annual Prescot Rotary Club bonfire and fireworks display takes place.
The sparkling display is being held at Whitakers Garden Centre, Liverpool Road, Prescot. Gates open at 5.15pm.
A huge bonfire will be lit at about 6.30pm, followed by a fireworks display.
There will be all the fun of the fair provided by Silcocks fairground rides and side-shows.
There's plenty to eat and drink and numerous police and marshals will be present on site to make it a safe and enjoyable occasion.
Rotary Club of Prescot has over the years raised around £80,000 for local charities including Willowbrook Hospice and Zoe’s Place.
Club spokesman Geoff Nulty said: “With your Star readers’ help we can push this figure even higher, so come along and have a super night.
“Better still think about joining Rotary and give a little time for those less fortunate than yourself.
“You'll never regret taking that step and joining the club. We meet at the Stanley Arms, Gillars Green, Eccleston, every Wednesday at 6.15pm.”
Tickets are available for the bonfire at Whitakers nursery during normal opening hours including weekends.
Tickets bought in advance before the 5.15pm start on November 3 will be at a discount price.
