Woman taken to hospital following traffic collision at Haydock Island

A WOMAN was taken to hospital after a traffic collision at Haydock Island this morning involving two vehicles.
Firefighters were called just before 11.25am to the junction on the East Lancs Road.
The woman, who is in her 30s suffered suspected neck injuries and was taken to Whiston Hospital.
Fire crews from St Helens and Newton-le-Willows were at the scene for around 15 minutes, while they made the vehicles safe.
