I am PCSO Mark Cunliffe, I have over seven years operational service in Merseyside Police as a Police Community Support Officer. I initially started my service working within the Sutton Ward of the Parr, Sutton and Bold Neighbourhood. During my service I have worked in all the areas of the Neighbourhood I serve, including a recent posting to the Stronger Communities Initiative on the Four Acre Estate, in Bold. I particularly enjoyed the opportunity to work on the SCI project, and was part of an excellent Team which made a real difference to lives of the community in an area which had historically suffered from deprivation and higher crime rates. Since joining Merseyside Police in 2004, I have seen the role of the PCSO develop dramatically, from an addition to the Neighbourhood Policing Team, to an integral part of delivering the Neighbourhood Policing model to the community.
