The Weeknd celebrates the one-year anniversary of 2015 album Beauty Behind The Madness with not one, but two new spots in the Guinness World Records 2017 edition, being released September 8.

The 26-year old singer’s acclaimed album, Beauty Behind The Madness, has been given the world record for the most streamed album on Spotify in one year.

It was played by 60 million unique listeners between December 1 2014 and December 1 2015, with lead single, Can’t Feel My Face notching up 448,334,867 streams by January 13 2016.

The Canadian artist – AKA Abel Tesfaye – has also set the world record for the most consecutive weeks in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Hot 100 by a solo male artist.

A raft of singles, including Earned It, Can’t Feel My Face and The Hills, has cemented Abel’s place in the top-10 of the US singles chart for 45 consecutive weeks between March 7 2015 and January 9 2016.

The album was the number one album on the Billboard 200 and reached the top 10 in more than 10 countries.
