When news broke that 50 Cent and The Game had made amends in an LA strip club it ended a 12-year feud that was at times very ugly, and gave fans hope for new music from the original G-Unit.
Unfortunately, this isn’t that. But it is never-before-heard music from the group.
DJ Whoo Kid stumbled across a hard drive with unreleased G-Unit music, labelled it The Lost Flash Drive, and gave it to the world.
The tape doesn’t feature The Game but Young Buck, Lloyd Banks, Kidd Kidd, 50 Cent, and Tony Yayo are all on the 12-track tape, which features songs that were recorded for EPs The Beauty Of Independence and The Beast Is G-Unit, released in 2014 and 2015 following the group’s reincarnation.
Whoo Kid told XXL: “Me and Tony Yayo stumbled across a hard drive at the G-Unit offices recently that contained lost music and lost footage from the G-Unit Radio Series. Getting 50, Banks, Buck and Kidd Kidd on board to release these classics to the world, it’s just something for the fans to embrace.”
Keep faith that one day we’ll hear The Game back on a track with the rest of G-Unit.
