Ed Sheeran has talked about the surreal experience of meeting his waxwork double.
The Thinking Out Loud singer was in New York for the unveiling of his wax lookalike at Madame Tussauds in the city and was taken aback by the uncanny likeness.
Before he saw the statue, he said of how it had been made: “They put you in grey underwear and a grey vest and you stand there for two hours as strangers poke you.
“I’m excited for my parents to see it. I think it’ll be quite weird for me but I think for my parents to see what they created.”
When he finally came face to face with himself, Ed said: “It’s so f****** weird. They’ve even got my lazy eye in, it’s kind of pointing that way.”
Ed couldn’t resist taking a selfie and later posted the results to Instagram, captioned: “Met my waxwork at Madame Tussaud, he didn’t say much but he’s got a bulge so it’s all good.”
