In a much-anticipated interview, Bruce Jenner disclosed to Dianne Sawyer that he ‘is a woman’ as he talked about how his transitioning from a man to a woman.

As the interviewed aired in the US, celebrities were among those offering support to the former Olympian who first found fame when winning a gold medal in the decathlon at the 1976 Games in Montreal.

Jenner’s four oldest children appeared on the US interview special to support their father, but not Kendall and Kylie, his two daughters with third wife Kris and who appear on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. He said stepdaughter Kim Kardiashian had been a big supporter, urged on by husband Kanye West, with Khloe was taking it the hardest.

His 89-year-old mother was also interviewed, saying she was more proud of Bruce than when he stood as an Olympic champion in Montreal.
