INFLUENTIAL Ska band The Beat bring their unique songs of love and unity to the Citadel on Saturday, June 20.
Tracing their roots back to Birmingham in 1978 at a time of high unemployment and social upheaval it seems apt that this band and others from the whole 2-Tone movement are once again enjoying success.
After numerous offers The Beat returned to the stage in 2003 for a sell-out show at The Royal Festival Hall with original vocalist Ranking Roger, Murphy ‘Ranking Jnr’, Everett Morton and Mickey Billingham (also of Dexys Midnight Runners).
Their current tour runs from May through to October, with the band not just visiting venues in the UK but also France, Holland and Germany.
Tickets for The Beat are on sale now priced £15.
