ANDY McKee and Don Ross bring their much anticipated collaborative recording ‘The Thing That Came From Somewhere’ to The Citadel on Friday night.
After several years of enjoying each other’s music, touring together in Canada, the US and Europe and becoming great friends, Canadian Ross and American McKee have finally decided to join forces.
Their set includes duet versions of familiar tunes composed by each guitarist as well as solo tracks.
McKee is one of the world’s finest acoustic soloists.

At one point, McKee held the numbers 1 to 3 positions for the ‘Top-Rated Videos of All Time’ on the hugely popular website.
His videos are still among the highest rated on Youtube and consequently, he has performed to sold out shows in all over the world.
After starting with an interest in electric guitar, McKee turned to the acoustic guitar at the age of 16 and began enjoying and studying the music of Michael Hedges, Don Ross, Billy McLaughlin and Preston Reed.
To this day he still cites these four musicians as his primary influences in acoustic music.
At the same time, McKee draws inspiration from various other musicians and groups such as; Earth Wind and Fire, The Yellowjackets, Bjork, Imogen Heap, Pantera, Eric Johnson, Peter Gabriel, Dream Theater and Bruce Hornsby.
Andy was born in Topeka, Kansas and still lives there. He performs between 100-200 shows annually across the world.
