AS all the spectaculars of European Capital of Culture draw to a close The Citadel not only gives you plenty to enjoy for these final couple of months, but also get next year off to a terrific start.
The Citadel has something for everyone, whether its comedy, theatre or, art and it wouldn’t be The Citadel without plenty of quality music.
For the Blues fans there is the renowned Ian Siegal, the Larry Miller Band, Connie Lush plus Manfred Mann and The Blues Band’s Paul Jones and Dave Kelly, with another memorable Dr Feelgood gig to look forward to.
Folk devotees can welcome back Vin Garbutt, Martin Simpson and Chris Wood, plus the StHelens debut appearance of award winning Flook, which is definitely a must see.
If more mainstream music is your thing then there is the legendary Liverpudlians John Power and Ian McNabb, Fabulous flamenco guitarist Juan Martin or the now infamous Lancashire Hotpots offer something different.
The Waterloo Street venue also has some of the very best tribute bands taking to the stage with The Clone Roses, Legend, Livewire AC/DC and Nearly Dan.
Once again there is another great Community Christmas Pantomime, this year the Hands On @ The Citadel team will perform Snow White.
For new visitors, whether you’re from St.Helens or further a field we promise you a great evening and once you’ve visited you’ll definitely come back for more!
