LIAM FRAY is set to play Liverpool Academy this month as part of his acoustic tour of the UK.

The Courteeners man will start his run of shows at Liverpool, continuing around the country and finishing off at his hometown of Manchester.

Playing unique covers of Courteeners’ songs, the frontman’s acoustic performances draw upon the bands three-album catalogue of music.

Fray is fresh from a series of summer gigs with the band, including headline festival performances and two sold-out homecoming shows at Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl.

Earlier this year the band released new album ANNA, which achieved a Top 10 spot in the UK album charts. From Yesterday, Today and Probably Tomorrow to Van Der Graff, the shows will no-doubt hold a few surprises for Courteeners fans.

His last acoustic shows sold-out and the September dates look to do the same. Already adding two matinee shows and having a venue upgrade for the Liverpool performance, Fray is meeting the demand of his army of fans.

Liam Fray comes to the Liverpool Academy on Thursday, September 19 at 7pm. For tickets, visit o2academyliverpool.co.uk .
