FAMOUS rhythm guitarist Wilko Johnson is set to showcase his distinctive brand of Rn'B based rock at the Citadel on Saturday, September 15.
Described as 'one of the best rhythm guitarists in the world', the innovative Canvey Islander has played a part in some of the most influential music in the UK since the 70s.
With his accomplished 'bluesy' guitar style, he has been a mentor to a host of punk and new wave guitarists and continues to inspire musicians to this day.
On stage, he still knows how to produce the goods too!
His latest album 'Back in The Night' (Jungle Records) is a 'best of' collection featuring many of the songs that made the original 'Man in Black' famous.
And the perfect onstage foil for Wilko is Norman Watt-Roy.
Widely regarded as one of the most accomplished bass players in the country, Norman shot to fame with Ian Dury & The Blockheads.
The power trio is completed by another ex-Blockhead and Canvey Island original - Monti - who has previously played drums with cutting edge bands the Cocteau Twins, the Jesus and Mary Chain and Curve.
