WHY not beat the post-Christmas blues with a visit to New Peking – via Rainhill – for the latest pantomime performance of Aladdin?

The adventures of Aladdin will be performed at Rainhill Village Hall by Rainhill Musical Theatre Company from next Thursday to Sunday, January 11 to 14.

Performances will start at 7.30pm on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

There will also be matinee performances starting at 2pm on the Saturday and Sunday.

The theatre company’s Karen Woods said: “Follow Aladdin as he tries to woo Princess Blossom, helped by his sister Wishee Washee and mum Widow Twankey, and boo the evil Abanazra, who wants to use Aladdin to find the magic lamp.

“With songs from the 80s, 90s and noughties, there is plenty to keep you singing and cheering in this family adventure.”

Tickets to see the magic carpet ride are £10 for adults and £8 for children and concessions.
