EAGLES tribute act Desperado comes to St Helens this month.

Fans of the American country rock band, best known for the song and album 'Hotel California', are in for a treat on Saturday, June 24 when the band perform at The Citadel.

Desperado, now in their ninth year, are presenting a new show for 2017 featuring the hits and highlights from the Eagles' 2013 'History of the Eagles' tour with a journey - lasting more than two hours - through Eagles favourites that changed popular music forever.

The Eagles formed in Los Angeles in 1971 with Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, and Randy Meisner. With five number one singles, six Grammy Awards, five American Music Awards, and six number one albums, the Eagles were one of the most successful musical acts of the 1970s.

A spokesperson for The Citadel said: "Renowned for their accurate and authentic recreation of Eagles music, Desperado will convince you that the Eagles themselves are on stage."

Tickets, priced at £15, can be purchased by calling 735436 or by going to citadel.org.uk.

The show starts at 7.30pm.
