I’M out of town at the moment, meaning didn’t get the chance to do the rounds last week.

However, reviewer ‘The Diva’ was an able deputy and went on a trip at the weekend to see The Lazzy Band in Rainford last Saturday.

The band treated the audience to a variety of old classics, ranging from Rolling Stones, The Who to Pink Floyd.

The Diva reports: “This epic quartet have been doing the rounds for a few years now, and the two founding members, Paul and Mark have recently been joined by Col (lead vocals) and Carl (bass).
“They have truly knitted as one of the tightest cover bands on the circuit. Their take on Pink Floyd threw a few audience members until they realised how they’ve tied it together; occasionally fielding their very own ‘dirty woman’.

“The measure of a live band is how they retain the crowd, and a healthy showing at the Junction stayed all night – if you missed it, you missed out. They were truly on fire.”
