BOO Hewerdine will bring some of his best songs to the intimate surroundings of the Citadel.

The 54-year-old English singer-songwriter, who was the lead and creative force behind group The Bible, will hit the venue on Friday, June 26.

After The Bible, Boo went on to write the critically-acclaimed album, Evidence with Texan country singer Darden Smith.

An accomplished songwriter, Boo has worked very closely with Eddi Reader and also written material for the likes of Natalie Imbruglia, Mel C and Alex Parks.

In 2001 he was asked to be 'songwriter in residence’ at the Performing Right s Society’s concert series, The Song’s the Thing.

Along with his years writing for other artists, Boo has a long list of film and television credits to his name, having written songs for films including Fever Pitch, Twenty Four Seven, My First Mister and Intermission. He has also had his song Bell, Book and Candle used in Emmerdale.

Tickets to see Boo perform at the Citadel are £14 each, with doors opening at 7.30pm on the night.
