TRIBUTE group The Clone Roses will feature in the prestigious Isle of Wight festival next month.

The Clones, who have had a busy schedule, performing at sell-out shows across the country, will appear at the festival on Saturday, June 13.

The band has also recently made an agreement with O2 Academy music group which will see them perform at all O2 academy venues across nationwide, leading to them being recognised as the UK’s number one Stone Roses tribute.

The Clones' lead singer Gavin Scott said: “Usually for us, the only festivals we play are the smaller ones alongside other tribute bands.

"So when we got the call to see if we wanted to play the Isle of Wight festival, it didn’t take long to give them a decision. The likes of Fleetwood Mac, Blur, The Prodigy, The Courteeners, and many others are also playing it so it’s going to be a great experience.”

The group will also make their annual Citadel appearance this November.

“We’ve got something a little bit different lined up for our gig at the Citadel this year, hopefully we’ll have everything confirmed and announced soon,” added Gavin.
