FUNNYMAN Dave Spikey will appear before a packed Citadel audience on Thursday (March 5).
The Bolton comedian will perform his new show ‘Punchlines’ in front of a sold-out venue before he embarks on his massive UK tour.
The performance is the latest of a long comedy career for the Phoenix Nights star.
In his new show he will demonstrate the impact of punchlines within their context, with quips including: “Where do you want your blinds?” / “It’s not my dog” / “That’s my Thermos flask !”. Then of course there’s nuns. Nuns in baths, nuns on bikes and Prince Charles wearing a fox hat.
Dave will also argue that you don’t always need a punchline for a joke to be hilarious and suggests that if you doubt him, you should ask the bloke with the big orange head.
Doors will open at 7.30pm for the show.
