Hi folks, Simon T here again with what's happening "Live in Glastown" this week.
As per usual lots is happening live music wise, so if you fancy catching some live music check out our gig guide!
I was out and about again last Saturday to catch some live music, and it was another great night for live music in the town.
First off I stopped off at the Counting house in Hardshaw street to see the hardrock-tastic (nod 'arf!) Salander, who kicked off with their own hard hitting version of "I got the fire" by 70's rockers Montrose, and then indie-rock stalwarts, Titors Insignia bringing their own brand of indie-rock to another good crowd enjoying the local music. Although the Counting house is one of the larger venues, size wise, in the town the atmosphere was "up for the craic" as they say!
Over at The Phoenix inn it was a more stripped down, laid back acoustic sound Of The Purple tones, with Krystal, what a great voice this girl has!!! And with Trish Watts on acoustic guitar and vocals making a much bigger sound than you would think with just an acoustic backing.
That's just another couple of examples of what's out there every week "Live in Glasstown".
