MASSES of words have been written about Iron Maiden’s long and glorious career, but Neil Daniels’ latest book Killers – The Origins of Iron Maiden covers new ground.

The St Helens rock and metal author’s second book about the band is the first in-depth exploration of Iron Maiden’s early years from 1975-1983.

Neil, aged 32, chose this period because it is vital to the band’s development, with many line-up changes and false starts before Steve Harris found his winning team.

As well as painstaking secondary research, he interviewed many people connected with the band including former members Dennis Stratton and Tony Moore, plus fan club chief Keith Wilfort.

Ryan LaMar has supplied the most up to date gig guide ever produced for these years and historian Barry Considine has helped make this work as accurate as possible and provided images.

Neil previously penned Iron Maiden: The Ultimate Unauthorised History Of The Beast.

Neil Daniels is the author of over a dozen books on rock and metal and has contributed to many music magazines, fanzines and websites. Visit neildanielsbooks.com.
