RISING music star Tom Loughlin will be among performers at a concert at St Peter's Church in Newton-le-Willows this weekend.

Musician and teacher Shade Black, who held a concert at the church last year with Paul Roberts, will star again again alongside Paul.

Keyboard wizards David Wheeler and Adrian Rose will also add to the extravaganza, with the concert to include a work for six hands at one piano.

Shade, who is director of music at St Peters, said ahead of the show: “I have performed in dozens of concerts with Paul as far afield as York and East Anglia, but to work with these wonderful musicians in a concert in my own church is just so exciting.

"It has been a wonderful challenge, but great fun preparing this completely new programme with the best local musicians.”

He added: “With Paul as the orchestra I am going to perform a very rarely heard piano concerto – but you’ll have to attend the concert to discover what it is."

The concert is at 7.30pm on Saturday, September 10. Tickets are £6 and available from Shade at 07517 521344. See shadeblack.co.uk.
