THE SoulTrain will steamroll into town this weekend to bring a night's entertainment to the Citadel.

The country’s premier Northern Soul band will play the town centre venue this Saturday (September 10) evening in what will be a treat for all 'soulboys', and girls, out there.

All the stops will be pulled out by this renowned band on their return to The Citadel stage.

The group will perform the very best of the Northern Soul anthems from Wigan Casino, The Twisted Wheel, and Blackpool Mecca, to keep the beating rhythm going with their authentic arrangements featuring the blistering sound of The Union Pacific Horns.

The great songs of Dobie Gray, Frank Wilson, Al Wilson, Dean Parish, Jackie Wil-son, Tony Clarke and many others, will be performed with pride and passion. Throw in some classic Sixties Soul hits and a hot night is guaranteed.

SoulTrain vocalist Darrell Smith said ahead of the Citadel gig: “ I have recently joined the band and been looking forward to this gig as the Citadel is a venue that the lads in the band all talk about as a great place to play.”

Doors will be open from 7.30pm on the night. Tickets are £10 each and available from 01744 735436. For more information see citadel.org.uk or email info@citadel.org.uk
