Hello again folks, after what seems like forever due to a little thing called Christmas and New Year and a bout of that awful virus that has been going around, it's me Simon T back on duty "Live in Glasstown".

Quite a year on the cards for 2015. the Westfield street festival returns on Sunday June 7th. After the triumph and huge turnout that last years festival brought to the town, 2015 promises to be a belter. Huge nod to Paul Griffiths from the zoo bar, the man behind the whole caboodle, who put his money where his mouth is and made it a reality. The date has announced for this years event and from the response of last year this year will be HUGE...HUGE...HUGE.....More news as I get it. Don't forget and stick it in your diary now, Sunday, June 7th, 2015!!!!

Speaking of the Zoo Bar, they're back starting their program of live music for 2015 on Friday Jan 30th with The Rozzers and from the information I've been hearing they are a great "Police" tribute band playing all hits and more.

The Rendezvous on Church street are now into their 5th year of presenting live music Each and every Friday, and quite a few Saturdays as well! Their program for 2015 is well and truly up and running with events on both Friday and Saturday this week and they have live music every Friday, 52 weeks a year!!!

The Sportsmans on Duke street are also continuing with their live music Friday's and again keep your eyes on the gig guide for who's on down there.

The Phoenix in Canal street continue their support of live music every Saturday with rock, Blues, indie and all ports in between, it's a great venue and with it being a Saturday night venue it's a great alternative from Friday nights and gives the local scene another night of live music.

All the usual venues, the Griffin, Earlestown, the Junction inn, Rainford, Bull and dog, The Red Lion Sutton etc, have all got their respective 2015 programs up and running so keep your eyes on "Live in Glasstown" for more details as we get them.

As I've been feeling back up to speed after the bout of "lurgy" that everyone seems to have had, if you're still sufferering get well soon! It knocked the stuffing out of me, hence no listings these past few weeks. I had a trip out to the Pheonix last Saturday and caught The Patriots. Great band, and young too!!!! I was well impressed, great mix of their own material, indie classics, they put quite a few of the older musicians of the town to shame!!! Including myself!!!! hopefully I'll catch these guys again in the not too distant future.
