Hello again, Simon T back again with this weeks look at whats happening on the local live music scene, "Live in Glasstown".

Another busy weekend last weekend, with plenty to see and do all across the St Helens borough. My spies tell me that the big Christmas Lights switch on was very busy and The Lightning Seeds were on top form and our own Lancashire Hotpots had the crowd singing along with their anthem, "Chippy tea".

Following on from the big lights switch on, Paul Griffiths from the Zoo bar reported The Tea Street band had a great crowd when they kicked off after the main Celebrations in town hall square. Great to see live music bringing people out into the town centre helping to spread the word that St Helens is fast becoming one of the busiest towns in the North west for presenting live music.

Some very good news from the Junction inn Rainford. They have been chosen by the production team from "Britains got talent" to host auditions for the television show on Thursday December 4th between 9am and 11pm. Paul and Gel Draper have made this lovely pub into a great live music venue and it's a big congratulations from us here at "Live in Glasstown" and we hope this can lead to bigger things for Paul and Gel.

This week there is once more loads to see and do so without further a-do, here’s what’s "live in Glasstown" this coming week.
