A CITY firm is calling on new recruits to participate in its graduate programme.

Wales & West Utilities is seeking new applicants, who will be based at the firm’s headquarters in Newport.

The two-year programme, which started nine years ago, focuses on the achievement of chartered engineer status via a series of engineering placements and a comprehensive graduate support network.

It is open for graduates who have or hope to achieve a bachelors or master’s degree class of 2:2 or higher in construction management, civil engineering or a degree course which is IMechE, IET or IGEM accredited.

Sarah Hopkins, the people and engagement director, said: “Our graduate programme will prepare the next generation of gas engineers and managers and give them all the skills they need to deliver for our customers’ whether working in an operational or a back office support role.”
