AS part of the World War One commemorations shoppers are being asked to contribute their families’ memoirs, artwork, pictures and poems to a special photobook.

The book ‘Prescot Remembers’ will feature contributions from local primary schools and members of the public.

Published by Prescot Shopping Centre it will aim to encapsulate the lives of people from that period.

The final edition will be displayed on a plinth in Prescot Museum this November.

Victoria Nichol, manager of the shopping centre, said: “I am very excited to see Prescot Remembers that will be a collection of elements that will commemorate the war and the lives of our ancestors.

“We are encouraging everyone in the community to come together to reflect and remember through words and pictures and to contribute to the photo book.”

Anyone wishing to contribute can email Jessica Bennett at Jessica@rawcreativeltd.com or post to Raw Creative, 17 Albert Street, Harrogate, HG1 1JX by Wednesday, October 15.
