A STROLL through woodland led Paul Fishwick from Clock Face to get in touch.
He wrote: "Can any of your readers help solve where these bits came from? Whilst having a winter walk around the Dream these two pieces of sculptural sandstone were in place near the woodland path near the sculpture. Can anyone tell me where they came from? There is also a rusty sign still in place on the nearby mineral line on the Runcorn gap walk obviously from the days that trains used this route. By the way I love your input into our local newspaper."
Sadly too much of what we take for granted winds up in a skip and I do appreciate the above have been put in places that may be safe. We see the excitement of archaeologists getting excited over all kinds of ancient finds. I welcome any further info on the above and also others you may spot in your trekking.
