KEVIN Finney has been in touch about Pigot Street.

He said: "Ian Bonnell seems to have quite a few photos from around Pigot Street (two were recently in Coffey Time). Firstly I was born in Pigot Street in the 1940s. I had seen one photo but wasn't sure whether it was one of his.

"It was 1953 Coronation parades. The other photo in Pigot Street just missed by a few feet where I was born. There was a photo in your November newsletter of a supposed pub in Pigot Street.

"It wasn't a pub, it was an off licence only and was run by Lawrensons. Our family were very friendly with them and their lad was in St Thomas cubs with me.

"As an added bit of info do you remember Bob-a-Job? We we both got a job cleaning out their cellar at 10/- each.

"If you are in touch with Ian you can inform him that if it's the same Bonnell who was in Billinge Beavers I have been treasurer there when he was a beaver. I am still treasurer years later."
