Clog clash
IT seems years since the term ‘clogs’ was mentioned in this column, so I was cheered to see that the Lancashire and Cheshire Clog Dance Competitions will take place at the Queen Street Mill in Burnley on Sunday, September 20. I wonder if there’s anyone relatively local to cheer on?
A short dip into Google shows a few thriving clog dancing groups in Lancashire. Any Coffey Time readers out there who still enjoy the pastime or were once a fine exponent of this form of dancing.
